Donald Trump is President, Who Cares?

Did you feel angry or sad when you heard that Donald Trump is the new President of the United States?

Well, I didn’t… Which surprised me, because I didn’t want Trump to become President either.

Every status and article that I’ve seen or conversation which I’ve had with people since the election has carried some negative energy, like we’re doomed, like we’re spiralling downwards and there’s no hope left.

I mean it is really hard to feel positive about it.

But I realised that resisting this result and feeling negatively about it can only strengthen fear and the division of humanity. Let’s face it, there’s already enough of that in the world.

The real problem is not who our leader is, but that we even look to a leader in the first place.

The truth is that the hierarchal system of power in our society, the borders of countries, even the division of neighbourhoods are all lies which create the illusion of separatation.

Human kind has become so lost that we externalise our power to leaders, hoping that they will come up with a solution for peace.

Ask this one question: who is in office right now, is that person coming from a spiritual place of love? ~ Ralph Smart

Trump promotes hate through the separation of mankind in the form of xenophobia, sexism, homophobia and racism, but this can only be detrimental to society if we allow the separation to happen.

Leaders will never provide peace on earth. We know that too many are only concerned with gaining more power and more money.

Realise your own power.

Instead of looking to authority for answers, I decided to take back my own power. If we transcend any outside authority by looking inwardly, we move towards embodying our true loving and peaceful nature, and that is the ultimate change which will serve us.

Lead yourself.

As the Dalai Lama famously said,

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world”

It comes from a place of privilege to be able to say “who cares” and to create that change yourself…

The title was just meant to capture your attention. The who cares is because, there is a deeper agenda taking place in governments, banks and the political game between countries. Both sides of opposition in politics is two sides of the same coin. History has taken place and it is shocking that it has taken this course probably due to propaganda being so present in history and today… Protesting is a great thing as is freedom of speech if it’s for a truly unjust cause, but changing the world rarely comes from externalities. Changing the world comes from changing yourself. That’s why I say who cares. Because presidents will come and go, but what really matters is what WE ourselves are putting out into the world. Are you radiating love, or hate? Are you spreading light, or darkness? THAT is what truly matters. The rest is just noise. Also, our circumstances don’t dictate if we can create that change within ourselves. If you have that mentality, you’re giving your power away.
